Sports game blackouts + Steph Reid + World Athletics bans Transgender athletes

There were all kinds of matches and sporting events over the last week in sport, and here are the things that grabbed our attention:

  • The unexpected intersection of blackouts with Australian sport.

  • The Brisbane 2032 Olympic Legacy forum which Lib attended.

  • Steph Reid! The Townsville Fire have been crowned the WNBL Champions and we had the best time catching up with the little terrier of the team.

  • World Athletics joined World Aquatics and World Rugby by announcing that they will be protecting the female category by banning transgender women.

  • Sports Shorts: Libby’s back to reading and got into Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, the founder of Nike. Georgie’s booking up her Easter holiday viewing with the Australian Grand Prix and surfing at Bells Beach.
